Our Rock Garden is Growing

One of our favorite places to walk to is the Rock Garden off of Beach Street.  It’s a little garden of painted rocks collected over the last 10-20 years.  My girls love to point out their favorite rocks and look for new ones.  Just the other day we turned a rock over only to discover … Continued

Auntie M’s: New Bakery and Lunch Spot Just Opened

Lucky us! A new restaurant just opened down the street from us. They offer made-from-scratch baked goods and Sleepy Monk coffee in the morning.  For lunch they have a lovely menu of sandwiches and pasta salads (that they make themselves – thank you!!).   During the cool mornings, the fire in the fireplace gives off a … Continued

Lonely Planet Travel Book

Here is an email I received from Mike this week with some great news: We made it into the recent edition of Lonely Planet, which just came out.  They publish travel books for the globe, and apparently are a very big deal.  See page 24. Check out Lonely Planet here.

The Daffodils are Here!

The daffodils survived the surprise snowfall.  The snow is finally gone and every day we find more patches of daffodils opening up and inviting spring to hurry up and come.  Today on my way home from errands, I noticed that the roadside flower stands are filled with daffodils for sale.

The Sundial on the Prom

If you start at our end of the Seaside Promenade and head north, you’ll come across this sundial.  I still have yet to figure out how to use it correctly, but we always enjoy getting off our bikes, standing just so and checking our watch to see if the time is accurate.
